Went for afternoon session, expecting wind to have filled in and tide to be dropping. Hoping for a solid F6. However as I was getting near to beach I could see a skyful of kites drifting around. Not a good sign. Sure enough 30+ kites all over the launch zone in moderate conditions. Top boys getting some good airs mind you. Rigged up a 5.3m further up the beach and had about an hour of pumping and coaxing. About 50% planing so good training for the arms and technique. A few little jumps and wave rides, so worth the effort. Should have taken different board and big sail with me. Or a kite.
